Long tradition of signage solutions continues under a new banner
State Sign, A Comet Signs by Stratus Company, will no longer operate under that name but will continue its long tradition of providing high-quality commercial business signs and self-perform across Houston and the Southeast Texas region. Moving forward, State Sign is now simply part of Comet Signs by Stratus.
In 2015, Comet Signs by Stratus purchased the State Sign Company. Founded in 1957, State Sign was a major player throughout Houston and the Gulf Coast region — providing electrical, on-premise sign manufacturing, installation, and maintenance services. For the last nine years, State Sign, a Comet Signs by Stratus Company, continued to flourish under the Comet umbrella.
In 2022, Comet Signs by Stratus was acquired by Stratus, a leader in brand implementation. The acquisition allowed customers to take advantage of an expanded footprint and additional product offerings, while still partnering with the Comet team they have grown to trust.
That expanded partnership now includes State Sign, which has been folded into Comet Signs by Stratus fully.
